2019, ISSUE 2
This time, we have a distinctly geometry-themed Paradox. Including an introductory look at fibre bundles, a discussion of differential geometry, a biographical article on the late geometer and Fields medallist, Maryam Mirzakhani. You will also find some excellent tips for performing fast and efficient partial-fraction decomposition and an exciting look into the crazy world of category theory. We have experiences and tips learnt from the recent Women in Physics and Mathematics camp, and an interview of a trader from Optiver!
2019, ISSUE 1
Including intriguing articles on topology and number theory, and some fascinating biographies of two lesser-known mathematicians from the industrial and modern era, practical advice for new students, and fun content with the Career Chooser algorithm, "Which Algebraic Structure are You?", and Semester Bingo!
Read about your MUMS committee members and don’t be afraid to say ”Hi” when you see us around the Peter Hall building!
2018, ISSUE 2
Learn something new with articles on commonly used equalities and Fourier series, read about gender representation in maths including experiences from the perspectives of female and non-binary undergrad students, and then take a break with maths jokes and memes!
Have a great idea for an article? Got a maths meme you just have to share?
